Gender and Sexuality Center for Queer and Trans Life
The Gender and Sexuality Center for Queer and Trans Life (GSC) is the LGBTQIA+ resource center on the Twin Cities campus. We promote the academic, personal, and professional success of LGBTQIA+ students, employees, alumni, and allies through education, advocacy, and support—fostering inclusion from first semester through graduation.
Northrop, located across from Coffman Union on the East Bank, is a welcoming campus hub for the arts. It hosts concerts, comedians, dance performances, speakers, and film screenings—often with student discounts, rush tickets, or free access. With cozy study spots, lounges, and a bistro, Northrop is a great place to study and connect.
The University of Minnesota’s Student Unions and Activities (SUA) provides varying building hours for Coffman Memorial Union and the St. Paul Student Center, with extended hours during the semester and reduced hours during breaks. For current hours, check the SUA website.
Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC)

Gopher Sports is the official home of University of Minnesota athletics, celebrating the pride, tradition, and spirit of the Golden Gophers. UMN Twin Cities students receive free admission to most home events and have access tickets for Football, Men's Basketball, and Men's Hockey at a reduced rate

Student Ombuds Services is a confidential, impartial, and informal resource that helps students with campus-based problems. Staff help students develop plans to address issues, learn conflict resolution skills, and access resources for concerns like course success, roommate conflicts, and stress management.
